New UNOS Officers and Board Members Are Elected

Jeremiah G. Turcotte, MD, leads the new slate of officers of the United Network for Organ Sharing's board of directors.

According to a statement UNOS issued on April 30, newly elected officers include Dr. Turcotte of University of Michigan Hospitals as president of the board; Clyde F. Barker, MD, of the University of Pennsylvania Hospital as vice president/president-elect; Charles F. McAfee, BArch, of Wichita, Kansas, as vice president of patient and donor affairs; and Thomas M. Beyersdorf, MBA, of the Transplantation Society of Michigan as treasurer.

Newly elected board members include Robert A. Bray, PhD, Emory University Hospital; Kenneth L. Brayman, MD, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania; Clive O. Callender, MD, Howard University Hospital Transplant Center; Robert A. Fisher, MD, Virginia Hospitals/Virginia Commonwealth University; Judy M. Graham, RN, MS, New York Organ Donor Network; Dennis F. Heinrichs, BSN, MBA, LifeLink Foundation; Richard J. Howard, MD, PhD, University of Florida College of Medicine; Dean F. Kappel, MSW, Mid-American Transplant Services; Robert M. Merion, MD, University of Michigan Health System; Esther Padilla, MSW, California Transplant Donor Network; and Russell H. Wiesner, MD, Mayo Clinic.
