The United Network for Organ Sharing has posted modifications to its liver allocation policy, which became effective on August 19.
The notice of changes in policy 3.6 is posted at www.unos.org/Newsroom/policy3.6_notice_of_mods.html, where links are provided to a copy of the amended policy, amended appendix, and liver justification forms.
According to the policy notice, the modifications fall into four areas:
