A 13-year-old boy who received three sets of four donor organs three months ago has been moved from intensive care to a regular room at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Florida.
Daniel Canal of Wheaton, Maryland, received a new small intestine, liver, pancreas, and stomach in May after a five-year wait. However, within the next five weeks, he needed a second and then a third set of organs. Doctors are reportedly hoping to remove a breathing tube from Daniel's throat within a few weeks so that he can talk again.
